How the cookie crumbled

So yesterday, I told you about the offer+the pin+the NY premiere that all conflicted.

Here's how it played out: I'm shooting the CBS show the next couple weeks, was released from the pin (and it was given to a "name"), and it seems like making the premiere will be impossible (though I'm gonna try my darndest to make it happen).

Two auditions for tomorrow, and off to dinner with one of my best friends, who is in from out of town.

Here's a thought: there have been days where I would make the world of auditioning/hustling/work all encompassing. I would cancel dinners, not go out for a drink, not live my life. And there comes a point where you have to find a balance.

Now I'm not saying go to a raver the night before you shoot something, but a glass of wine here and there are well deserved.

So cheers to balance, and continued success, and to all of us celebrating how hard we work towards this dream of ours.

L'chaim!

  1. I am sorry about you not getting the CBS gig, but I do believe that things happen as they are meant. So, try not to let it get you down.

Put your best foot forward tomorrow at your auditions. At least you HAVE audutions and YOU ARE A BOOKER.

Last but not leasst, I think that we all struggle with finding balance in our lives. Some of us more than the rest. I am really having issues with that right now. Sounds like spending time with someone you don't have to impress or "act" with would be good for you. We all need people to keep us real. Enjoy your friend.

    Cheers:-)

  2. Balance is the most important part of life. If you do not have balance, you have nothing. Carl Jung says "There are as many nights as days, and the one is just as long as the other in the year's course. Even a happy life cannot be without a measure of darkness, and the word 'happy' would lose its meaning if it were not balanced by sadness". I loved this post. You deserve all your success.
